I believe
in the good news of God's kingdom coming in our lives and on this earth,
but there is
global warming,
war,
starvation,
abuse,
homelessness,
depression and disease,
and so much more.
One must not turn away from the hurt and darkness,
but we must also be "a little more bent" toward
love, hope, creativity, healing, staying strong, beauty, forgiveness, and justice...
and both believing and being
the good news of God's kingdom.
(All right, enough heaviness, pass the oatmeal raisin cookies!)
