Tonight I wonder what I'll do with my life? Maybe it's because I'm tired. But maybe it's a question I'll always be asking one time or another. I wonder what I should do with my life? Anyone else wonder about the same thing?
I am like that to always wandering what am I doing with my life. Maybe it's a little ADHD or something but staying on one thought for to long is difficult for me. My one constant though is following Jesus wherever He takes me and serving Him.
I'm reading a book about the differences between the masculine and feminine in people (not gender specific by the way).
Masculine people (or anyone in masculine moments) are always expressing DIRECTION: looking for purpose in their actions, trying to live for their deepest truths and want to spend their time on what's most important. I would say it's totally healthy and natural to continue to ask "what you want to be when you grow up" and both TEST (by asking these questions) and TRY to align yourself with your deepest purpose.
The hard part is instead of always wondering what's ahead, finally bellying up to the bar, deciding your decision/purpose and trying it out NOW in real life. You can always change it if it's not it. (I'm using the word "you" here but of course I'm talking in generalities, not to any person in particular)
As I put on my blog the other day: the way to live is to artfully transmute your wanting into giving: to give your gift - your life - fully now and not assume that you'll do it later when ____ happens.
I'm saying this all not as someone who has it figured out - I struggle with this stuff every day - but as a fellow journeyman.

Life is what happens while you're making other plans.
From the movie City Slickers
Curly: Do you know what the secret of life is? [holds up one finger] This.
Mitch: Your finger?
Curly: One thing. Just one thing. You stick to that and the rest don't mean shit.
Mitch: But, what is the "one thing?"
Curly: [smiles] That's what *you* have to find out.
